Premium kitchenware brand

A re-platform that didn't torch the rankings.

A premium kitchenware brand moving platforms with 4,000 indexed URLs and rankings it could not afford to lose. We planned and ran the [SEO migration](/services/seo/seo-migrations) end to end, and organic revenue grew through the move instead of dipping.

The Challenge

The platform was end of life and the rebuild was happening with or without SEO at the table. The risk was the usual one: 4,000 indexed URLs, a decade of earned rankings, and a launch date chosen by the platform team. Most migrations lose 20 to 40% of organic traffic for months. This brand could not afford that trough. They brought us in to run the SEO migration alongside the build, with our technical SEO team embedded from the first sprint.

Our Approach

phase.01
01

Map everything before anything moves.

Every URL crawled, scored and mapped to its new home. High-value pages got individual redirect plans, not rules of thumb.

phase.02
02

Fix during the move, not after.

The rebuild was the chance to clear years of technical debt: faceted navigation, duplicate parameters and crawl traps were designed out, not migrated across.

phase.03
03

Launch with a safety net.

Staging crawls, redirect testing and a rollback plan meant launch day was a formality, not a gamble.

phase.04
04

Watch every hour after.

Log files, indexation and rankings monitored daily for the first month, with fixes shipped inside 24 hours when Google hesitated.

Moving platforms? Don't gamble the rankings.

Migrations go wrong in the planning, not the launch. Show us the replatform brief and we will tell you where the risk actually sits.
